Sculpture and Circular Economy:

Searching for coherence and constantly concerned by my environmental impact, I carve my sculptures in blocks of marble, granite and alabaster destined to be dumped. I often carve in old tombstones, forgotten stones or "waste'" blocks. Of course, this requires a very specific know-how, as these stones have suffered from time, knocks and frost... but it's an ethical, technical and aesthetic choice. # REUSE-REDUCE-RECYCLE

Emergence - Amy - 2012

Inspired by Amy Winehouse's death.
Tormented soul in a body so small, whilst her voice remains incredibly powerful , stirring her Back to black.
Drinking or singing, the gestures are in themselves so close, and simultaneously show her desire for self-expression and self-destruction.
This sculpture, made of resin and porcelain powder, is fixed on a coloured glass panel. A fastening system allows it to be displayed vertically or horizontally.
Dimension: L=47cm, l=36cm, H=9cm
