Sculpture and Circular Economy:

Searching for coherence and constantly concerned by my environmental impact, I carve my sculptures in blocks of marble, granite and alabaster destined to be dumped. I often carve in old tombstones, forgotten stones or "waste'" blocks. Of course, this requires a very specific know-how, as these stones have suffered from time, knocks and frost... but it's an ethical, technical and aesthetic choice. # REUSE-REDUCE-RECYCLE

Emergence - tearing of - 2015

Double sensation, sinking and thriving at the same time.
Desire to getting rid of the limits given by so many habits,
Or even, desire to breaking them, and diving strongly until being able to live our way.
We could also say that it's simply an allegory of our humanity? as... we are all swimmers of the impossible.

This sculpture, made of resin and porcelain powder, is fixed on a coloured glass panel. A fastening system allows it to be displayed vertically or horizontally.
